This morning, step into the heart of local culture with a visit to a welcoming village of approximately 4,000 people, led by two community leaders, Elizabeth Inonge and Fredrick Mukubesa, both of whom report to Chief Sekute of the Kazungula area. Originally established as a home for the first railway station workers, the village holds a fascinating place in history — it's where the steam train once refilled with water on its journey to Mulobezi to collect timber. It is also home to the first Coillard Church in Zambia, founded in 1911 by French missionary François Coillard. Today, the village school is largely supported by visitors from the surrounding lodges, making your visit both meaningful and impactful.

Your hotel is perfectly positioned in the heart of town, within easy walking distance of historical sites, vibrant restaurants, and an array of activities. The day is yours to enjoy at your own pace, whether you choose to relax or seek out adventure. Soar above the spectacular Victoria Falls on an exhilarating helicopter flight, explore the lush wilderness on a guided game drive, surf the rapids of the mighty Zambezi River on a white-water rafting expedition, take the plunge with a heart-pounding bungee jump off the Victoria Falls Bridge, or brave the edge at Devil's Pools, perched right on the lip of the thundering Falls. However you choose to spend it, today promises unforgettable memories in one of Africa's most thrilling destinations.

Victoria Falls

Day 12 - Victoria Falls

Today, journey to the majestic Victoria Falls for an awe-inspiring guided tour of one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World. Explore the Zimbabwean side, where numerous breathtaking vantage points reveal the full grandeur of the Falls. Stand in awe as millions of litres of water thunder into the gorges below — a truly unforgettable spectacle of sight, sound, and spray.

This afternoon, enjoy a warm welcome in Chinotimba Township, where a local family will host you in their home for an authentic, home-cooked African meal. Savour traditional dishes such as sadza, beef and chicken stews, kapenta fish, mopane worms, kale, pumpkin leaves, grilled potatoes, and fresh salad, finished with seasonal fruits, Mazoe orange crush, and tea. Don't feel you must try it all — but where's the fun in that? It's a heartfelt taste of everyday Zimbabwean life and hospitality.

Begin your day with a journey to the top of the world atop the famous Table Mountain — one of the Seven Wonders of Nature and Cape Town's most iconic landmark. Since the aerial cableway opened in 1929, more than 22 million visitors have made the ascent to enjoy its panoramic views, scenic footpaths, mountaintop restaurant, and curio shop. From there, set off on a fascinating city centre drive past the Castle of Good Hope (1666), City Hall, and the Grand Parade, continuing along Adderley Street to admire St. George's Cathedral, the lush Company Gardens, and the colourful Bo-Kaap (Malay Quarter) — a vibrant neighbourhood settled by the descendants of enslaved people brought to the Cape in the early 18th century.

This afternoon, weather permitting, enjoy a powerful Robben Island Tour, departing by ferry from the Nelson Mandela Gateway at the V&A Waterfront. Step into the history of one of the world's most famous prisons, where Nelson Mandela was held for 18 years, and explore the island's historically significant sites with former political prisoners as your guides — culminating in a moving visit to Mandela's cell. End your day with an unforgettable evening at GOLD Restaurant, where a 14-dish African taste-safari is paired with Mali puppetry, praise singers, marimba and djembe drumming, traditional dance, and an interactive pre-dinner drumming session — a true taste of the heartbeat of Africa.

Boulders Beach

Day 18 - Cape Town

Today, set out on one of the world's most spectacular marine drives — Chapmans Peak Drive, affectionately known as "Chappies." Winding 9km along the Atlantic Coast between Hout Bay and Noordhoek, its 114 curves skirt the towering 593m Chapmans Peak and reveal breathtaking views in every direction. Continue to the Cape of Good Hope, where dramatic mountains meet the sea at Africa's most south-western point. Stop in at the Buffelsfontein Visitor Centre to learn about the region's seasonal flora and fauna, then make your way to the historic lighthouses on foot or aboard the Flying Dutchman funicular for sweeping panoramic views. After a delicious included lunch, journey on to the charming town of Simon's Town and the world-famous Boulders Beach, where wooden walkways lead you through massive granite boulders to a protected colony of African Penguins — a truly unforgettable encounter with one of the Cape's most beloved residents.

Wander the well-marked paths through lush gardens, pause for a meal at the on-site restaurant, or simply find a quiet spot to picnic and soak in the serene beauty.

Sadly, all good things must come to an end. After your visit, enjoy a little free time before transferring to the airport for your flight home. Electricity

An adaptor (which changes the physical plug) and/or converter (which changes the electric current) are necessary if you plan to use an appliance with voltage different from the standard within the country you are visiting. Please note, if your appliance has dual voltage (such as your phone charger) you may still need an adaptor for the plug. When packing your electronic items for travel, please review the converter electric current level to make sure it is the same or greater than the items you are planning on using. If you plan on utilizing or transporting a sleep apnea machine, please remember to pack an extension cord and adaptor plug to ensure proper function.

Electricity in South Africa is supplied at 220/230 volts AC 50Hz. The adaptor is Type M. Electricity in Botswana is 220-240 volts at 50Hz. Type M & G adaptors can be found. Victoria Falls electricity is 220 volts at 50Hz. Both Type M & G adaptors can be found. Zambia Electricity is 230 volts and 50Hz. Type C, D & G plugs are found.

Plastic pollution is the gravest environmental threat because it affects human life, marine life, and the entire food chain. Several retailers have accepted the South Africa Plastic Bag Ban and are planning a ban on single use plastics and replacing it with shopping bags which are biodegradable.

Packing for your African Safari Guideline

Recommended clothing:

  • Breathable and neutral in color to blend in with the bush (khaki, beige, greens, taupe or grey)

  • Items that can be easily hand washed if necessary and are quick to dry (cotton shirts)
  • Light jacket/ rain jacket and/or vest
  • Sweater, scarf, hat & gloves
  • Items that are comfortable and warm at night are important
  • A casual pair of pants and top are suitable for evening meals, very informal!
  • Comfortable walking shoes and a pair of sandals to rest your feet at the end of the day
  • Swimsuit, sunglasses

Other Important Items:

  • Sunscreen, bug spray
  • Binoculars
  • Medicine
  • Adaptors and converters for charging and plugging in electronic items
