After, stop at the Punalu’u Bakery for lunch. Continuing onwards, go to Punalu’u Black Sand Beach to dip our toes in the ocean before touring the Kau Coffee Mill. Afterwards, explore the Volcanoes National Park and its Crater, steam vents and lava tube. Day 9 – Island of Hawai’i to Maui

Say farewell to the big island and aloha to Maui! After landing, embark on what is Maui’s undisputed top attraction, The Road to Hana. With over 100kms of road, 59 bridges and over 620 curves and almost all of it winding through lush, tropical forest, it is an unforgettable experience! Stopping at places like the forested Kaumahina State Park which provides you with spectacular views, Ke’anae Peninsula with its jagged black lava rocks, Waianapanapa (glistening water) State Park and its black sand beaches, the town of Hana for a quick lunch break, Pua’aka’a State Park with its many waterfalls and pools and a drive-by of Ho’okipa Beach dotted with the many windsurfers that frequent the area.

Our first stop is the Iao Valley State Park, with its forested needle-like peaks reaching up to 1,200ft and rain filled clouds lazily meandering their way through the parks canopy. Afterwards, drive through Upcountry Kula, passing the fields of taro and sweet potatoes, a stark difference from the coconut palms and golden beaches that you are used to. Arriving at Haleakala National Park, otherwise known as the “House of the Sun”, travelling to the top of the summit, of the now dormant Haleakala Volcano. Driving up the summit, stop at the Ranger Station (7,000ft) for a photo shoot before going up the remainder of the summit to the National Park Visitor Center (9,740ft) to watch what is considered “the most spectacular summit sunset in the world”. Stopping to enjoy an included dinner before returning to the hotel.

Arriving at Wailua River, enjoy a tranquil boat cruise on what is the only navigable river in all of Hawaii. Framed by lush vegetation and mangrove at its banks, the boat ride provides plenty of scenery and great photo opportunities. The boat ride will also go through Fern Grotto, a fern covered lava cave. After an included lunch, journey to the majestic Waimea Canyon. Over 10 miles long, and almost 4,000ft deep, this marvel was formed by erosion and the catastrophic collapse of the volcano that created Kauai. End the day with a farewell dinner.

Day 14 – Kauai to O’ahu

Flying from Lihue to Honolulu, depart for the beautiful beaches of the North Shore where you can capture magnificent memories of your vacation in Hawaii.  A stop at the Dole Pineapple Plantation is also planned for today.  Indulge yourself with all the genuine pineapple treats. With sometime this afternoon to do that last-minute shopping.  Later transfer to the airport for the overnight flight to Canada.
