The Great Barrier Reef can be seen from space, now you can see it up close! A full day adventure is planned, an air-conditioned catamaran cruises you out to Green Island. You can snorkel, view the reef from the glass bottom boat, go for a swim in the crystal-clear water, lounge on the powder white sand beaches or go for an Eco Island walk. A buffet lunch is also included on the island.

A morning flight takes us to Australia’s Outback! Uluru is one of Australia’s most recognizable natural icons, and a must-see for many! Early this morning return to Uluru to watch the sunrise and bring colour to this famous rock – this is one sunrise you will not want to miss!! Then it’s back to the hotel for breakfast, before departing on a scenic outback drive to Alice Springs.
This evening experience the solace and tranquility of this harsh land at the Outback BBQ where you have an opportunity to meet with local people to learn their stories of life and survival. Enjoy a boomerang demonstration, listen as a bush balladeer sings timeless Australian songs, hear from local cattlemen and Indigenous people, and have a local astronomer show us this southern night sky! Today, fly to Melbourne but not before a visit to the Royal Flying Doctor Service, an air ambulance service provided to those living in the remote inland areas of Australia. After arriving in Melbourne, the rest of the day is spent at leisure.

At only 100 square kilometers, Phillip Island is famous for its nightly Penguin Parade, but first there is so much more to see! Experience true Australian hospitality with a tour and delicious lunch at a local cattle farm. Next, experience koalas in their natural habitat and meet them ‘face to face’ on treetop boardwalks at the Koala Conservation Centre. At sunset, see the penguins emerge from the sea and waddle ashore to their sand dune burrows.

This morning transfer to the airport for your flight to Queenstown. On arrival, embark on a city tour of Queenstown. Journey through Fjordland National Park and out to Milford Sound on one of the most scenic roads you could hope for. Travel through ancient native rainforests, beech forests, alluvial flats and meadows. Stop at Mirror Lakes that perfectly reflect the stunning mountain scenery. Drive through Homer Tunnel emerging on the other side where you are presented with one of the world’s most dramatic alpine drives, down through the Cleddau Valley. Arriving at Milford Sound, depart on a cruise where you meander down the sound, taking in the Bowen and Stirling Falls and the sheer pinnacle of Mitre Peak, rising from the deep waters of the fjord.

Depart Queenstown this morning and travel to Franz Josef. Another scenic drive but this time it’s all about lakes! First, you are taken to Cromwell, situated next to the sparkling pristine waters of Lake Dunstan, where you stop at a local stone fruit orchard. Continue onwards to the vivid blue waters of Lake Hawea, followed by Lake Wanaka, where the shoreline is charmingly lined by poplars and willows. Following an ancient greenstone trail, you travel over Haast Pass, marking a change from the alpine scenery of the Southern Lakes, to the rainforest marvel of the wild West Coast, stopping at Mt. Aspiring National Park for a relaxing break or a short walk. The final destination for today is the extraordinary rivers of ice that make up Franz Josef Glacier.

Follow the west coast before heading east through Arthur’s Pass National Park to the small settlement Arthur’s Pass. Here you board the TranzAlpine Train to Christchurch. This spectacular train journey dates to 1914 and is rated as one of the world’s most scenic train trips.
