Itinerary

Alaska "the Great Land" and the Canadian Yukon are still some of natures most pristine areas of the world. This comprehensive tour shows you the best of the north.

Day 1 – Home Cities to Edmonton, AB

Take the WestWorld Coach from Regina or Saskatoon to Edmonton. Or if you'd rather fly, meet us there!

Day 2 – Edmonton to Fort St. John, BC

Dawson Creek is where “Mile 0” of the Alaskan Highway begins and this is one of our stops today.

Day 3 – Fort St. John to Fort Nelson, BC

As we leave Fort St John we really feel we have started our great northern adventure!  We will make a stop at the Fort Nelson Museum.

Day 4 – Fort Nelson to Watson Lake, BC

Get used to the beautiful scenery, you’ll be seeing a lot more of it over the next few days. Our day finishes with a stop at the amazing Sign Post Forest. You are most welcome to bring along your own sign, your guide will have all you need to put it up!

Day 5 – Watson Lake to Whitehorse, YT

On our way into Whitehorse you will be treated to the beautiful scenery of Miles Canyon.

Day 6 – Whitehorse to Dawson City, YT

Dawson City is a true Gold Rush town still boasting gravel roads and wooden sidewalks and history galore. A visit to the “Midnight Dome” is planned for tonight.

Day 7 – Dawson City

Today you will experience the Gold Rush yourself with a chance to pan for gold and learn about the Gold Rush Days. We will have a local guide for an amazing historic tour of Dawson City area to help us see the way it was here 100 years ago.

Day 8 – Dawson City to Fairbanks, AK

After a special stop to visit the North Pole and “Santa Claus House”, our day will finish in Fairbanks for a two night stay.

Day 9 – Fairbanks

What a way to start the day with a cruise on The Riverboat Discovery.  Your lunch will be included today and to top it off, a fantastic Salmon Bake Dinner.  After dinner enjoy the Golden Heart Revue show.

Day 10 – Fairbanks to Anchorage, AK

See incredible Mt McKinley on our way past Denali National Park.  The next two nights will be spent in Anchorage for more fun and adventure.

Day 11 – Anchorage

The day will start with a City Tour and an interesting stop at the Alaska Wildberry Factory to see the World’s Largest... well maybe it should be kept a surprise ‘till we get there!

Day 12 – Anchorage to Valdez

Today will likely be our most memorable day with a cruise of Prince William Sound with our ship that will take us right up to the glaciers much closer than any of the larger ships can go!

Day 13 – Valdez to Tok, AK

The stunning scenery just never gets tiring as it passes by our coach  window.

Day 14 – Tok to Whitehorse, YT

We will return to Whitehorse today, after finishing the big loop through Alaska, but we aren’t finished yet!

Day 15 – Whitehorse to Skagway, Alaska and Return

We will see yet another side of the amazing Alaska Gold Rush history from a sea perspective. This little town was the gateway for the gold seekers, many of whom never returned, and we get there via the beautiful and historic White Pass and Yukon Railroad.

Day 16 – Whitehorse to Dease Lake, BC

Some of this route will be familiar territory, but there is always something new to see.

Day 17 – Dease Lake to Smithers, BC

Getting out of the Alaskan and Yukon wilderness our scenery changes to the more familiar, beautiful British Columbia.

Day 18 – Smithers to Prince George, BC

As we head further south our Alaskan adventure may be over but we still have lots of beautiful scenery rolling by our window and lots of fun on our coach. This evening join your Tour Director, Driver and Friends in our WestWorld Tours Farewell Dinner.

Today we say goodbye to many of our Alberta passengers stopping in Edmonton for the night.

Day 20 – Edmonton to Home

All passengers travel back to their homes today.

WestWorld provides a well rounded Yukon/Alaska experience. Every day felt like a new adventure! Lloyd & Donna Bruner, Leask, SK

(The Tour) It was worth every dime! There are two very important people on the tour. The most important person on a bus trip is the driver. And ours didn't fall short on anything. He not only displayed good driving but his good sense of humour and his treatment of the pas, treats each passenger as special, knows how to bring harmony to a group and seems to have no end of ideas to make the trip exciting and memorable. Robert & Adeline Wuschenny, Regina

Would you recommend this tour to your friends? Yes! Yes! Yes! Did we give you value? Absolutely - I couldn't have asked for more. Bev Smith, Melville

We most certainly (received value for our money). Picnics were very good. Most definitely (will recommend to friends) Nancy Pries - Winnipeg, MB

Would never have seen or learned as much of the "North" had we driven same area on our own. Was a great group to travel with. Yes (you gave us value for our money) Marilyn Wignes - Watrous

Yes we would highly recommend it (to our friends). An excellent tour guide, he knew & explained about everything on this trip. His humour and one liners were the best. Our driver was a very courteous, safe, excellent, humorous man that couldn't seem to do enough for each of us. He stopped many times to show us the wildlife along the roads we travelled. Ken & Lois Woods - Arcola

We enjoy WestWorld Tours very much because every detail of your trip is very well taken care of. So just sit back & enjoy with no worries. Thanks you Fred & Ted. Linda Bento - Caron, SK
